Very Vintage

image

The Moschino belt, that is. I have always been an admirer of all things vintage. Thus, when I unearthed my first Moschino belt at a local vintage store back in the year 2009, I could not believe my eyes. Right there, I simply knew I had to get it. Personally, I believe that it is an ageless addition to any outfit, may it be casual or formal. Akin to Ray-Ban aviators or classic black pumps, I do not think beautiful Moschino belts will ever go out of style.

Loving Him Was Red

image

Similar to seasons, fashion trends come and go. I am not one to patronize each and every style that emerges for the reason that a good number of fashion trends have the tendency to burn one’s pockets. But back when I was a sophomore in high school circa 2007, one particular bandwagon that I hopped into was the colored pants bandwagon. I collected every color there was possible and I can still recall how I would match my multicolored pairs with different graphic tees.

image

Fast forward to the present day, I am pleased that these rainbow brights have made a comeback (and that I didn’t throw my pairs away!). For a Christmas party (yes, these photos were gone astray until recently), I decided to spread some Christmas cheer with this red and white ensemble.

I kept these adorable Santa Claus nails all month and got countless compliments from everyone. Thank you, Nail It! Salon Alphaland!

Sway with Me
Typed from the Heart

What do you do when you realize that the time to say goodbye to the place that you have been used to for the last three years, the place that has become your second home and the place where you have built a thousand memories in has come at last? All I could do was slow down and take a trip down memory lane.

image

It seems just like yesterday when I entered De La Salle University for the very first time and had the slightest idea regarding its surroundings. “Where is the North Conservatory? Where is Yuchengco Lobby? Where is the canteen?” were just some of the questions inside my naïve Frosh mind. Fast forward to the present time as a graduating La Sallian, I have come to be familiar with the university grounds like it is the back of my hand. Cliché as it may sound, time really does fly fast- way too fast, if I may add.

image

Within the academe, I met friends that have slowly but surely become family. I met wonderful people that are at present additions to my now stronger support system. I am thankful for my college barkada; my Fags- Abbey, Aressa, Chum, Coleen, Denise, Joy, Rosette and TheaWithout these girls, my college life would have been a total bore. I will never forget our weekly matching outfits and cray cray afternoons at Beach.

‘Cause we gon’ rock this club, we gon’ go all night, we gon’ light it up like it’s dynamite! ;) #themesong

image

Within the academe, I got to know a former schoolmate of mine, Joy- who is now very much like a (Jeje) sister to me. All through high school, we only shared hi’s and hello’s. Now, what we have is something so much more than that. She is one of the people who pushed me into starting a fashion blog, my personal photographer who coincidentally took the set of photographs in this post too!

image

Within the academe, a relationship that was once lost was brought back together and has made me one happy girl ever since. I will always be thankful for my boyfriend, Gabby. Without this boy, I would have taken the taxi (or the train) to and from school every day. Haha! Seriously speaking though, thank you for making me your priority, thank you for always taking care of me and most of all, thank you for not giving up when you had every reason to do so.

image

Within the academe, I was well taught. I entered DLSU as a raw freshman student. Yes, I was able to acquire learning from high school but the knowledge that my professors have endowed me with are without a doubt beyond price, an education that I will truly take with me and make the most of as I enter the real world. At this moment, I leave DLSU as an accomplished person with utmost confidence as to what lies ahead of me

image

Thank you, DLSU’s guards and discipline officers for letting me get away with breaking the dress code (sometimes). Thank you, MyWiFi for being there when I need you. Thank you, my favorite Andrew guards for always having a joyful disposition that is quite transmittable to us students. Thank you, Andrew Building’s stairs for giving me batak legs whenever I’m running late for my classes at the 10th floor.

image

Thank you, La Casita Cafeteria at Andrew 6th for serving delicious breakfast that starts my day spot on. Thank you, computer laboratory at Andrew 17th for being a convenient place to print my procrastinated home work using my e-Purse. Thank you, 7-11 at One Archers Place for having good coffee that preps me up for my early 8 am classes.

image

Thank you, Agno’s BacSilog for being the yummy you. Thank you, Zen Tea EGI for being a nice chill place during my long breaks. Thank you, Zaide’s siopao for filling my famished stomach. Thank you, Pearl of Great Price Chapel for being my serene sanctuary. Thank you, Yuchengco Building for providing me with scenic surroundings and sufficient sunlight for my outfit photo shoots.

image

Thank you, Henry Sy Sr. Hall for being as beautiful as you are and for making me take pleasure in your facilities even just for a short while. Last but definitely not the least, thank you, De La Salle University for an incredible three years of my college life! To my fellow June graduates, a big congratulations to us! We finally did it!

T.G.I.Friday’s, the first American casual dining chain in the Philippines is celebrating a sizzling summer with a new bar menu. The updated bar list includes a wide array of affordable drinks such as the Ultimate drinks, beer on tap at P60, local bottled beer at P75 and beer by the bucket for only P350. Cocktails will also be available starting from P125 and includes staples such as the Long Island Tea, Bahama Mama, Kamikaze and 77 Sunset Strip. To cool down for the scorching summer, the Refillable Mojito is also continuing its run as one of bar’s most popular offerings, available everyday at only P295.

The new beverage menu features concoctions to fit every bar personality, whether you’re the life of the party or just winding after work. To entice patrons to let loose and enjoy the distinct T.G.I.Friday’s atmosphere, the T.G.I Friday’s Red Card will be available by first week of April, which is a passport for a buy-one, take-one on cocktails every Thursday. The cards will be distributed free of charge to dining guests.

Adding to the excitement is the launch of the first leg of the Stars Behind the Bar tour, which includes a showcase of celebrity bartenders, free drinks, and a chance to learn basic flairs and cocktails. Patrons are also known to flock the bar to watch bartenders dazzle with flips, flairs, and tricks before drinks are delivered with a personalized touch.
