All Torn Up

Happy Sunday to you, my lovely reader! Let me introduce an extremely simple ensemble constituted of two essentials in each one of our closets; a plain white tee + denim jeans. Donning only these two necessities, one may look like a good ol’ Plain Jane. However, here is a trendy trick that I want to teach you today! Just add a pop (or two) of color to your outfit- sunshiny yellow and royal blue, in my case and appreciate how it makes a world of a difference to your look in an instant!

A sweet shout out to my new sponsors, Miss Princess of Gang and Glamour and Miss Ces of Zoe’s Clothing! Thank you for trusting my humble blog and me! I hope you will like this post of mine together with the ones in store! :)

Lacy Daisy

Is it just me or has everyone else felt Manila’s unbearable heat lately? I’m talking about burning, blistering, makeup melting, 948394 degrees in temperature. Nevertheless, this summer fever does not give absolutely anyone of us the right to step out looking slapdash in mismatched garments or scanty short shorts. Today, I cherry-picked this lovely lace top from the depths of my closet as an answer to looking and feeling chic and chill despite the sizzling summer sun. Everyone I encountered was keen on its back detail!

Spring Break Forever

image

Yes, you guessed it. Today’s fashion inspiration comes from Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers. Although watching the film may have disturbed me to a certain extent, it undeniably got something spot-on- the girls and their get ups. You may think that they were stark naked during majority of the film but during the atypical times when they actually wore something, it channeled crazy, lazy, yet beautiful beach bums in my opinion. Timely enough, my own spring (summer!) has come upon me and so I seized my bikini, booty shorts and kicks for a sunshiny time out. Spring break forever, y’all.

Skirt The Issue

image

A timeless piece that I clung to during my college years would be my black pencil skirt. I found it particularly handy on times when my professors would call for us, students to come in corporate attire. After college, it eventually got forgotten in my closet and in my memories. But this season, my once faithful friend has made a classy comeback, made over with a modish plaid pattern by Style Stunner Manila.

A sweet shout out to the beauty behind the brand, Pennie! I’m always so happy to see you and Ralf every bazaar! Thank you for trusting my humble blog and me! :)

Friday with Fred

image

Thank God it’s Friday! We can finally take a break from the hullabaloos that workdays bring. With the consolation that the weekend is upon us, I decided to dress comfortably (while still looking chic) today. What could be more fuss free than wearing a polo shirt? My boyfriend, Gabby is fond of everything Fred Perry and in the beginning, I did not appreciate why. But after donning these first two acquisitions of mine, I must say that I am now as transfixed as he is. Their pieces give a great sense of comfort and an assurance of quality. Initially, I supposed that polo shirts are key pieces only in a man’s closet but today; I assert that we, women need it in our closets too.

Summer Soul

image

Summer is officially upon us! Not that I am thrilled about this burning weather we are having but hey, I am not going to sulk about it either. As the temperature rises, the layer of clothes we wear logically reduces. Nevertheless, that is completely fine with me because this Indian Spirit Racerback Dress from Paradise Treats is such a statement on its own. With its bold colors and perceptible patterns, it is impeccable for any summer day out, don’t you think?

A sweet shout out to Miss Patricia of Paradise Treats! It was so lovely to meet you at the Manila Sundance Bazaar! Thank you for trusting my humble blog and me! :)
