The Month of Love

It’s that time of the year when Valentine’s Day is ahead of us once again. While it’s been a regular routine to ask somebody out on a date with fancy bouquets of flowers, oversized teddy bears and saccharine sweets, an equally essential part of this delightful day is how we present ourselves to our special someone. Gone are the days when fashion only appealed to women. At the moment, more and more gentle men get keen on what they wear. If you are a guy and you are still clueless on what to wear for a special Valentine’s date, here’s a smart clothing suggestion for you. Keep things interesting with a nice printed button down, coordinated with classic black pieces that ought to be found in every man’s closet.

Women are rather fortunate that there are many fashionable pieces present in the market these days. For a special Valentine’s date, I recommend you ladies to go for one-shoulder dresses that are the ideal infusion of simple and sexy. Topped off with nice-looking curls and fierce smokey eyes, your special someone will feel lucky, that’s for sure!

Gong Xi Fa Cai

As my witty siblings and I welcomed the Year of the Dragon, our itty bitty drops of Chinese blood recommended us to wear red and gold; colors signifying happiness and wealth for the brand new year. This was the only red dress that I could find in my closet and it was extremely body hugging, I had to control my Chinese chow consumption during dinner. Sayang buffet! Lololol.

Smokey eyes courtesy of my aspiring make up guru sister, Dana. Do follow her blog if you still haven’t! ;)

What I wore: Red asymmetrical bodycon dress [Bangkok], Spade ring [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Silver square studs bracelet [Claire’s USA], Silver disco ball bangle [Gift], Black bangle with silver spikes, Silver ring and Gold pumps [City Complex Bkk], Classic Chanel flap bag [Hong Kong]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png

I personally find feather earrings irresistible as they’re quite quirky and fashionably fun. Plus, they’re lightweight but still exude an extraordinary statement. It’s fantastic as to how the selection of styles in this trend seems to be endless- from pastels to rainbow colored ones or even leopard to peacock printed ones! There are countless forms, shapes, sizes and shades to fit each young lady’s special style, only offered by MARiS, the house of unique pieces.

This eye-catching baby will be available at MARiS this merry month of December. Order one for yourself, or more for your girl friends! ;)

What I wore: Yellow asymmetrical dress [Bangkok], Orange and blue color blocking belts [Platinum Fashion Mall Bkk], Denim button down [Thrifted], Adorable connector ring [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Blue heart ring [YRYS], Love connector ring [Bought online], Feather earring [MARiS], Blue military booties [Sister’s gift]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png

Asymmetrical

This is what I wore to the Smart HTC Beats Party last November 11th at Republiq. Bearing in mind that my dress, in a bold magenta tint already exuded of an effeminate vibe, I chose to toughen it up by adding black accessories to the ensemble’s color palette. In addition to that, I took my spiky shoes out for a sundown of rock n’ roll.

What I wore: Magenta colored asymmetrical dress [Bangkok], Black H belt [Mom’s closet], Leather studded cuff, Silver stacked bangles and Black stone ring [Local department store], Crown rhinestones bangle and Silver rhinestones over sized ring [City Complex Bkk], Silver wing ring [Random], Chanel earrings [Mom’s gift], Black snakeskin clutch and Black gladiator heels with silver spikes [Hong Kong]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png
