I Capture: Bangkok, Thailand

This post wraps up my last travel adventure to the Land of Smiles. Bangkok is a beautiful city with outstanding sights, lively marketplaces, scrumptious street foods and vivacious nocturnal happenings that truly has something for each person to enjoy. As the cliché goes, I’ll let my photographs do the talking.

Simply reading my I Chow, I Shop, I Capture: Bangkok, Thailand posts makes me miss my favorite getaway destination all the more!http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png

I Shop: Bangkok, Thailand

I wasn’t able to take photographs of the whole lot but here are some snippets of my acquisitions from my personal shopping paradise, Bangkok, Thailand.

I stocked up on sunnies for the approaching summer season. See those rainbow tinted lenses? Love at first sight.

Belts of rainbow braids, leopard prints, tassels and chains to breathe ordinary outfits a fashionable fix.

Cute camera cases for my phone, which currently looks like this.

Graphic printed shirts for Gabby. <3

Kissed my jumbled lipsticks goodbye with these helpful holders!

… Because a girl can never have too many accessories!

I Chow: Bangkok, Thailand

Can you remember my I Chow, I Shop, I Capture: Hong Kong posts? Well here goes another installment of my travel escapades- to my second home, Thailand this time. First up, their food. Thai Cuisine is known for its balance of sweet, sour and (extremely) spicy dishes. Here are some of my choice chows from The Land of Smiles!

  • Pad Thai- stir-fried rice noodles that showcase the classic flavor of Thailand with a bounty of sweet vegetables, fresh lime juice, chili powder and roasted nuts

  • Tom Yum Goong- good for the health due to its effective blend of herbs and spices, this is a popular soup in Thailand and around the world.

  • Green Mango Salad- teasing tang and a mix of textures that will surely awaken your taste buds

  • Mango and Sticky Rice- fresh mango slices plus sweet and sticky rice, smothered with coconut sauce

  • Chicken Skin- crispy, deep-fried and dipped in vinegar = guilty, guilty pleasure

  • Sugar Sweet Corn- shredded corn sprinkled with sugar, this is a personal favorite.

  • Baby Coconut-cool and refreshing after a lengthy day of shopping, it’s just like a natural Gatorade.

  • Durian Chips- especially tasty and somewhat addicting, serves as a good pasalubong too!

Are you hungry yet? Here are more food photographs from my latest spree to Bangkok, Thailand early on this month.

Thai Holiday

The sunup after Christmas Day, my family and I set off to our most loved getaway destination. This country just has its way of drawing us in at the most unexpected times. Here are spontaneous snapshots from my spree to Bangkok, Thailand last December 26th. Not a single outfit snap as I was too engaged in shopping and threw on the comfiest threads for our whole holiday. :D

Busy Bangkok ✈ Day 4

On our fourth and final sunshine in my privy spending paradise, the handy camera that my thoughtful sister, Dana lent me died due to its diminished battery but wanting to capture the beauty of Bangkok for all of you, my lovely readers to share sight of, I had to make do with my trusty iPhone’s camera. ;) Here are some street snapshots of Busy Bangkok, its glorious shopping and airport avocations that conclude my trip.

Eiffel Tower embroidered shorts. Cute!

That girl’s watermelon skirt is too cute for words!

Those donuts tasted as delish as they look. ;)

Without a doubt, I heart Thailand and I’ll definitely be back soon.
