Spikes and Safety Pins

image

I decided to publish this outfit post simply because it’s too hot here in the Philippines and I want you to feel the heat even more. Just kidding! I only have a few more backlog photos from my Los Angeles trip and I can’t wait to share them all with you. For now, here is what I wore to a tiring day of tripping at North Hollywood. As always, it was chilly and so I had to layer up with some leather.

It really is all in the details, isn’t it? My special safety pins-embellished top was made by the resourceful Ken of Helga and Luna. Who would have thought that such small pieces of one commonplace thing can make such a big impact? In addition to that, this Seriously Spiked iPhone case was hand sewn by yours truly. Pang-self defense ang peg! Haha!

Loco for Coco

When asked what my favorite luxury brand is, I answer Chanel without hesitation. I figured the best affair to show my loco for Coco was during the inauguration of Signatures by Cristina, my lovely mother’s newest hobbyhorse. But let’s save more of that on a future post, shall we?

Given that it was a semi-formal occasion, it was also the ideal moment to don these trendy threads thoughtfully sent by Fashion Fruit, which have been sitting pretty in my closet for quite some time now. Thank you, Gea!

Classy and sparkly down to my phone case, thanks to Berry Couture.

What I wore: Black basic strapless dress and Pink printed chiffon Hi-Lo skirt [Fashion Fruit], Black leather belt and Silver Chanel buckle [Mom’s closet], Chanel earrings [Mom’s gift], Charriol cable bracelet and ring [Gift], Black and Silver bangle, Rhinestone studded panda ring and Silver pumps [Bangkok], Love ring [Hong Kong], Rhinestone studded Chanel iPhone case [Berry Couture], Embroidered jersey Chanel flap bag [Milan Station HK]

Gong Xi Fa Cai

As my witty siblings and I welcomed the Year of the Dragon, our itty bitty drops of Chinese blood recommended us to wear red and gold; colors signifying happiness and wealth for the brand new year. This was the only red dress that I could find in my closet and it was extremely body hugging, I had to control my Chinese chow consumption during dinner. Sayang buffet! Lololol.

What I wore: Red asymmetrical bodycon dress [Bangkok], Spade ring [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Silver square studs bracelet [Claire’s USA], Silver disco ball bangle [Gift], Black bangle with silver spikes, Silver ring and Gold pumps [City Complex Bkk], Classic Chanel flap bag [Hong Kong]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png

That Certain Bohemian Feel

On no account will I ever get weary of neutrals plus sheer combinations. That is pretty much apparent with this ensemble. Paired with my adorable bow-printed skort, I added a textured belt along with a peace sign necklace for that certain bohemian feel. To top it off, accents of gold polished the whole garb perfectly. Peace and love.

What I wore: Nude tube top and Blue bow-printed skort [Bangkok], Peach sheer cover up [Thrifted], Peace sign necklace and Peace connector ring [Temple Street Night Market HK], Love connector ring [Bought online], Gold charm bracelet [Platinum Fashion Mall Bkk], Brown animal skin belt [Hong Kong], Nude t-strap platform heels [Platinum Fashion Mall Bkk], Gold Chanel quilted tassel chain bag [Vintage]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png

I Capture: Hong Kong

This is the ultimate entry of my spontaneous escapade to Hong Kong early this November. With such striking surroundings, the aspiring photographer in me was undoubtedly unfettered. Hong Kong’s lovely landscapes were perceptible all over the place, thus I got snappy happy equaling to this captivating photo heavy post for you! ;)

I highly hope you took pleasure in my share of my recent departure to the land of delicious dim sum, splendid shopping and equally splendid sights; I Chow, I Shop, I Capture: Hong Kong.
