Very Vintage

The Moschino belt, that is. I have always been an admirer of all things vintage. Thus, when I unearthed my first Moschino belt at a local vintage store back in the year 2009, I could not believe my eyes. Right there, I simply knew I had to get it. Personally, I believe that it is an ageless addition to any outfit, may it be casual or formal. Akin to Ray-Ban aviators or classic black pumps, I do not think beautiful Moschino belts will ever go out of style.

Last Friday Night

♫ There’s a stranger in my bed, there’s a pounding in my head, glitter all over the room, pink flamingos in the pool. I smell like a minibar, dj’s passed out in the yard, Barbie’s on the barbecue, is this a hickey or a bruise?

Oh, how I love Fridays. Who doesn’t count the days ‘til the splendid weekend anyway? For me, Fridays connote a short but sweet escape from the demanding responsibilities of school and work. It is the perfect day to stay up late and chill out.  But right after a blissful weekend comes Monday, the most dreaded day of the week. Basically, we loathe Mondays as it means the start of another hectic five days. But come to think of it, this fresh week also gives us an opportunity to start anew and set things straight, things that we may have done wrong in the week that just passed.

On to my ensemble, this is what I wore to the launching of Topman Fashion Fridays, which will be the highlight of my next post. I worked on Aztec elements mixed with feminine fabrics, made chic and cheerful with the use of layered necklaces and piled arm candies.

Notice Me Neon

Who would have thought that this top could double as a skirt? Fascinating as it is, this fabric served as the canvas for my outfit one sun-drenched day. Drawing inspiration from my breezy bottom’s neon splatters, I opted for highlighter hues as add-ons to my ensemble.

I love how this trendy triangle necklace livens up my look! Thank you, Joan of Personalized Accessories! :)

Bringing Back the 70s

For one splendid Sunday, I stepped out of my comfort zone and donned something out of the usual. Chic and charming, turbans are definitely head-turning accessories that bring back the trendy 70s. More than that, they’re a fashionable fix for a bad hair day!

All American

For one noteworthy evening, I temporarily bid adieu to my favorite Union Jack Flag and said hello to The Star-Spangled Banner. I just realized it upon glancing at my photographs now that my fancy Fourth of July hat ring makes the perfect cherry on top of this getup!
