Penchant turned Passion

To be passionate about one’s craft is something that is beyond price. I don’t know about you but I myself was mostly naive as a sixteen year old. Well that isn’t the case for my younger sister, Dana. It all started with a bad breakup and a fascination for Youtube tutorials. Little did I know that these two simple things would start her penchant for makeup, which I now perceive as her very promising passion.

Given this nifty pair of MARiS paperclip earrings to draw inspiration from, I adored my makeup as I looked in the mirror. Popsicle eyes and ombre lips? Check! Her own version looks just as charming, with her ideas drawn from Bubbles’ adorable bow necklace.

I’m blessed to have a brilliant baby sister like Dana so this serves as some sort of special post just for her. Thank you for everything, roomie. I love you to bits and pieces!

Summer Hangover

The season of sun, sand and sea may be over but it is missed quite terribly. Being the best boss that she truly is, my mom arranged a summer’s last hurrah for her workers, along with their families at a lovely, laidback resort up North. On that day, I tied my hair up in a bun, took my bandeau and beach bag and I was ready to go!

Matching beach bags with my sister, Dana!

What I wore: Turquoise tube bandeau, Red nautical beach bag and Brown studded wedges [Hong Kong], Vintage printed vest [Thrifted], Denim high waisted pants with bow detail and John Lennon Sunglasses [Bangkok], Gold spike ear cuff [Young Wild Free] Rust animal print tassel necklace [Kulay-ccessories], Fantine bangle [MARiS], Sky Blue beaded bracelet [Orange Soda], Wooden bangle with silver studs [Claire’s USA], Carved connector ring [Hailey and Five]

Feathers, chains, tassels and everything nice at Yhansy Manila.

Four Seasons

A shirt and shorts getup is nothing but stereotyped. In spite of this, one may spruce it up by breathing into quintessential elements such as lace threads, gold glitzy shoes and a fab fedora hat. And just because I couldn’t get enough of the faux leaf earring that MARiS sent me, I used it as the finishing touch to my chic and casual ensemble. Merci beaucoup once again, Mika! :)

What I wore: Hot pink graphic shirt [Bangkok], Black cycling shorts [Local department store], Tattered denim short shorts [One Teaspoon], Black lace coverup [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Gold studded belt [Random], Snake ring [Temple Street Night Market HK], Oversized zebra ring with rhinestones [City Complex Bkk], Four Seasons single earring [MARiS], Black fedora hat [Hak Yen Shop Japan], Alexander Wang inspired bag [Platinum Fashion Mall Bkk], Gold glitter slip-ons [TOMS]

La Vie Boheme

I personally find feather earrings irresistible as they’re quite quirky and fashionably fun. Plus, they’re lightweight but still exude an extraordinary statement. It’s fantastic as to how the selection of styles in this trend seems to be endless- from pastels to rainbow colored ones or even leopard to peacock printed ones! There are countless forms, shapes, sizes and shades to fit each young lady’s special style, only offered by MARiS, the house of unique pieces.

This eye-catching baby will be available at MARiS this merry month of December. Order one for yourself, or more for your girl friends! ;)

What I wore: Yellow asymmetrical dress [Bangkok], Orange and blue color blocking belts [Platinum Fashion Mall Bkk], Denim button down [Thrifted], Adorable connector ring [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Blue heart ring [YRYS], Love connector ring [Bought online], Feather earring [MARiS], Blue military booties [Sister’s gift]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png
