Runway to Ranch

I hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan. Welcome to the land of fame, excess, am I gonna fit in?

Yeehaw! Looking at this set of photographs makes me miss the City of Angels. Their wonderful weather is completely conducive to playing dress up. This day, I channeled my inner cowgirl by taking cue from this pretty pair of boots. If truth be told, inspirational fashion comes from the most unexpected odds and ends. All that’s missing is a good ol’ cowboy hat and I’ll be ready to ride a horse!

I wore this Western-inspired ensemble to a delightful day of shopping at Citadel Outlets. My stylish and snug leather jacket plus boots with the fur got me feeling warm in spite of the chilly weather conditions.

Girl on the Go

The past few weeks have been quite a whirl that words cannot even explain. Not a single complaint though, I must say that this kind of hustle and bustle is something that I have come to love. How, you may ask? Let me give you several (tried and tested) tips to lessen pressure and increase productivity.

1. Plan and stick to it. Keep a planner or make a to-do list and strictly pursue it, no excuses accepted.

2. Prioritize. Use up your time on essential errands only. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting precious hours and equally precious energy too.

3. Learn how to say no. Oftentimes, it is hard to decline favors from family and friends but it is very important to think of your to-do list first prior to acquiring extra work.

4. Turn down distractions. Facebook and Twitter are my top two evils when I need to concentrate and so SelfControl for Mac is something that I treasure.

5. Kick back and relax when desired. Too much of something is well, too much. It’s okay to take a day off and pick yourself up. My favorite time out treat is Nail It! Salon’s Package 1!

And another treat for a girl on the go like me? This clever emergency kit from MARiS that holds useful paraphernalia, perfect for all kinds of girl crises!

What I wore: White sheer top and Red snakeskin clutch [Hong Kong], Leopard print skirt [Ysh’s Gift], Black sunglasses with floral details [Random], Turquoise stone studded necklace [Bangkok], Crisscross magnetic cuff [Hailey and Five], Black and Turquoise YSL inspired Arty oval ring [Young Wild Free], Colorblock platform pumps [Primadonna], Girl’s Little Emergency Kit [MARiS], Nails by Nail It! How about you? How do you handle a hectic schedule? :)

La Bella Vita

Do you ever have those priceless moments when you take a pause and think to yourself that life is beautiful? I do. And it is during those instances that I realize how truly blessed I am. When I was younger, I used to believe in the aphorism that “Good things come to those who wait.” Presently, being a couple of years older and wiser, I have come to a realization that sure, good things may come to those who wait but better things come to those who are willing to get up and work hard for it. Luck may turn towards us sometimes but by and by, we should know how to pursue for those good things and exert effort to achieve them.

On to my ensemble, this sparkling outfit was what I wore to Nail It! Salon’s photo and video shoot at the quaint little Cubao X. I am such an aficionada of full-size, flouncy skirts and I despise the fact that I may be outgrowing them some time in the future. Nooo!

Such a picturesque place Cubao X is that my fellow Resident Bloggers; Bea, Melai and I couldn’t help taking photos even if it was “prohibidado” by the security guard. Who could resist touristy shots with this lovable Leaning Tower of Pisa anyway?

What I wore: Turquoise midrib top and White chiffon skirt, Gold skull ring and Gold pumps [Bangkok], Yellow rhinestone studded collar necklace [Hailey and Five], Gold five row spikes bangle and Turquoise YSL inspired Arty oval ring [Young Wild Free], Limited edition mint lace bracelet [GQ by PinkCloset], White and gold studded bracelet [Random], Yellow classic leather clutch [Vivienne Westwood], Cake iPhone case [Hong Kong], Pink heart ear plug [Berry Couture], Hair and Makeup by Dana Decena, Nails by Nail It! How was your Halloweekend? I’m jumpstarting my Halloween with Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights tomorrow and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I hope my scaredy-cat family doesn’t back out at the last minute. Haha!

Retro Kaleidoscope

Fearless geometrical lines, bold color combinations and a playful flaunting of shapes and patterns have taken the designer runway by storm. I decided to hop on the Aztec bandwagon by donning this trendy tribal print dress, thoughtfully sent by Naleigh. I adore how it simply shows that I’m having fun with fashion and how it is able to make such an impact on its own.

Adding on natural accessories such as feathers and leaves put together a beautiful bohemian ensemble.

Joining the (arm) party is twice as fun with these bright-as-can-be neon bracelets from Young Wild FreeMademoiselle by TiSh and Bedazzle Accessories! Merci beaucoup to Cat, Shayne and Tin for thoughtfully sending me these. :)

What I wore: Tribal Print Cut-out Dress [Naleigh], Denim utilitarian jacket [Singapore], Purple sunglasses [Random], Leaves and Coins neckpiece [Isotopes Manila], Violet Joy bracelet [Mademoiselle by TiSh], Braided fabric chain bracelet [Bedazzle Accessories], Orange Stud Strand bracelet, Tie Dye braceletsOrange Spike Braid bracelet and Gold House of Harlow inspired arrow ring [Young Wild Free], Gold Egyptian head ring [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Yellow and black clutch bag [What Women Want], Orange pumps [Parisian] | Photos by Dana Decena

How about you? Do you see yourself trying out the tribal trend? :)

One for Slytherin

I candidly think that ear cuffs are the coolest fashion pieces that I have ever owned. That is why I’d like to thank the lovely Sasha of Gurly Glam Shoppe for thoughtfully sending me my first ever piece. Since then, I have become addicted.

It’s quite enjoyable how I can embellish my ears without having to get additional piercings and I love how this silver snake turned heads and toughened up the daintiness of my floral dress as well!

What I wore: Floral print bodycon dress and Denim studded headband used as a bracelet [Bangkok], Gray animal print sunglasses [Random], Silver snake ear cuff [Gurly Glam Shoppe], Violet tassel necklace [Top Avenue], Owl ring [Young Wild Free] Snake ring [Hong Kong], Believe bracelet and Peace bracelet [Rubi Singapore], Beaded Barbie bracelets [Toys R Us Malaysia], Brattoo Parlour lunch box [Bratz], Purple glitter platform heels [Dorothy Perkins]

How about you? Do you see yourself trying out the ear cuff trend?
