I Chow: Bangkok, Thailand

Can you remember my I Chow, I Shop, I Capture: Hong Kong posts? Well here goes another installment of my travel escapades- to my second home, Thailand this time. First up, their food. Thai Cuisine is known for its balance of sweet, sour and (extremely) spicy dishes. Here are some of my choice chows from The Land of Smiles!

  • Pad Thai- stir-fried rice noodles that showcase the classic flavor of Thailand with a bounty of sweet vegetables, fresh lime juice, chili powder and roasted nuts

  • Tom Yum Goong- good for the health due to its effective blend of herbs and spices, this is a popular soup in Thailand and around the world.

  • Green Mango Salad- teasing tang and a mix of textures that will surely awaken your taste buds

  • Mango and Sticky Rice- fresh mango slices plus sweet and sticky rice, smothered with coconut sauce

  • Chicken Skin- crispy, deep-fried and dipped in vinegar = guilty, guilty pleasure

  • Sugar Sweet Corn- shredded corn sprinkled with sugar, this is a personal favorite.

  • Baby Coconut-cool and refreshing after a lengthy day of shopping, it’s just like a natural Gatorade.

  • Durian Chips- especially tasty and somewhat addicting, serves as a good pasalubong too!

Are you hungry yet? Here are more food photographs from my latest spree to Bangkok, Thailand early on this month.

I have a trivial fascination for clouds. ♥xx

It’s 5 o’ clock in the morning

Conversation got boring… Loljk. My mom, two sisters and I were up and about in the crack of dawn to catch our early morning plane back home. I almost couldn’t open my drowsy peepers while prepping for the airport; hence I became a walking Union Jack with what I was wearing. Nevertheless, I reflect this ensemble as an epitome of comfortable chic, with how stylish and stress-free it was to travel in.

What I wore: Union Jack cropped top [Bangkok], Black liquid leggings [Local department store], Union Jack cardigan [Hong Kong], Ray-Ban aviators [Borrowed from my sister], Union Jack camera bag and Cream colored flats [Platinum Fashion Mall Bkk]

Busy Bangkok ✈ Day 4

On our fourth and final sunshine in my privy spending paradise, the handy camera that my thoughtful sister, Dana lent me died due to its diminished battery but wanting to capture the beauty of Bangkok for all of you, my lovely readers to share sight of, I had to make do with my trusty iPhone’s camera. ;) Here are some street snapshots of Busy Bangkok, its glorious shopping and airport avocations that conclude my trip.

Eiffel Tower embroidered shorts. Cute!

That girl’s watermelon skirt is too cute for words!

Those donuts tasted as delish as they look. ;)

Without a doubt, I heart Thailand and I’ll definitely be back soon.
