Frisky in Faux Fur

image

Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall- don’t you wish that the Philippines had four seasons instead of just two? I do. It’s simply more exciting to dress up in line with the weather. Lots of layers in the winter, stripped down to daisy dukes during the summer… but what to wear in between these opposing seasons, you may ask?

It was mid-fall when we arrived in California. Not too chilly and not too humid, the gentle wind was perfect with the welcoming winter atmosphere. But just because it wasn’t winter yet, it didn’t mean that I couldn’t dress myself in faux fur, right? I thought to myself, snatching this tasteful piece of clothing from my mother’s luggage.

There is purely something sophisticated about this fine fabric; something that reminds me of a well-dressed, 1970s mademoiselle. Feeling this refined sentiment, I pulled my hair back into a high ponytail, put on pretty pearl earrings and the chic pair of color blocking heels that I have acquired just the day before. Glancing at my reflection before heading out, I realized; I don’t play favorites but this ensemble has got to be on the list!

Fun fact: Orly’s Nail Lacquer in Frisky is my all-time preferred polish for my toenails. It’s a brilliant shade of teal that I can’t refuse to give in to whenever I go for Package One at my happy place, Nail It! Salon.

Summer Hangover

The season of sun, sand and sea may be over but it is missed quite terribly. Being the best boss that she truly is, my mom arranged a summer’s last hurrah for her workers, along with their families at a lovely, laidback resort up North. On that day, I tied my hair up in a bun, took my bandeau and beach bag and I was ready to go!

Real Steel + Style

An enjoyable evening of good food and great wine transpired last January 27th as EMO Jewelry primed an intimate get-together for Manila’s fashionphiles. The happening was held at Café 1771, an especially endearing and picturesque place at Ortigas. It had a great ambiance along with the cutest interior, down to its teeny tiny decorations.

Adorable comfort room door signs!

With my +1 girl friend for always, my little sister Dana <3

This bib necklace captured my attention the instant I came into a street shop in Bangkok. Its bejeweled details were too sweet to shun and so I stepped out of the shop with a smile, carrying this baby in a plastic bag. What I adore about pieces like this is that whether it’s chunky, stacked or full of bling, it can make even the most ordinary outfit effortlessly eye-catching.

What I wore: Cream button down polo [Thrifted], Violet silk high waisted shorts and Multicolored gemstones bib necklace [Bangkok], Owl ring with gold rhinestones [Bought online], Hot pink stone ring [Random], Black peep toe bow heels [Forever 21 Singapore], Christian Dior sling bag [Vintage]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png
