Of party poppers, superhero friends and silly hats. ♥xx

Spontaneous snapshots from Bea’s superhero surprise birthday bash. I miss you, crazy lady!

Keep Calm and Call Batman

What does one wear to a superhero themed party without looking over the top? I asked myself while gazing into my closet. At that instant, I went with my instinct and grabbed my faithful favorite, a cut up Batman shirt. I invariably added tongue-in-cheek elements to the ensemble, which I definitely enjoyed. And the cherry on top of this outfit? My “Super” statement necklace, that’s for sure!

What I wore: Cut up Batman shirt [Gift], White and yellow stripes shorts, Batman connector ring and Black pumps [Bangkok], Black lenseless frames, Royal blue stud ring and Black and yellow round ring [Random], Super statement necklace [Bought online], Lego necklace [Hong Kong], Red enamel belt bangle [Orange Soda], Red Vernis Wrist Cuff [Louis Vuitton], 3.1 Phillip Lim Edie Bow inspired studded bag [Singapore]

Curls and Twirls

Don’t you just love how voluminous my skirt is? I felt like a ballerina twirling around in this pretty, puffy piece.

What I wore: White collared button down top [Thrifted], Leopard printed ballerina skirt [Bangkok], Pearls and rhinestones necklace and Batman connector ring [City Complex Bkk], Love connector ring [Bought online], Piano connector ring [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Black H belt [Mom’s closet], Black suede wedges with ankle straps [Chick Flick], Black Louis Vuitton Epi Noe [Mom’s hand me down]http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le2gskgau51qev84m.png

Be my Batman

This is my dressed down ensemble for DLSU’s Best Dressed shoot, utterly inspired from the exquisite Ena of Lookbook.nu. I love how maxi skirts give off an easy, breezy and effeminate feel. Versatility wise, they can be dressed up or dressed down- as what I aimed to achieve with this look. My cropped Batman shirt did the trick to cinch an elongated edge so as not to trim my height. ;)

What I wore: Cut up Batman shirt [Gift], Off white maxi skirt [Local department store], Cream fedora hat [Hak Yen Shop Japan], Gold ring [City Complex Bkk], Spade and Square rings [Chatuchak Weekend Market Bkk], Wooden bangle with gold studs [Borrowed from my sister], Gold stacked bangles [Claire’s], Black gladiator heels [Bkk store], Louis Vuitton Speedy [Japan]
