“It’s about a girl who gets turned into a swan and she needs love to break the spell, but her prince falls for the wrong girl so she kills herself.”
Have you ever watched the motion picture, Black Swan? I have- for so many times already, and the leading character, Nina’s look never ceases to captivate me. In concert with the skills of my sister, Dana and the helpful products thoughtfully sent by SUNDANCE and The VIII Shop, we recreated the protagonist’s look during one artistic afternoon and made it our own. Yes, this is what we do during playtime.

Want to pull off the same makeup look? Here are products that my Makeup Guru sister, Dana and I recommend!

It has been a healthy habit of mine to apply lip balm before anything else so that by the time I apply an additional lip product, it will slide along smoothly. I guess the product’s name, Maybelline Baby Lips is pretty self-explanatory. With religious usage, your lips will definitely be reborn and feel smooth as a baby’s.
I hate heavy foundation so I used Maybelline’s Clear Smooth 8-in-1 BB Stick to conceal any imperfections I had. I have sensitive skin and so I am very particular with the product that I choose to use as my base. Trying out this B.B Stick for the first time did not disappoint.
The eyebrows are the main and most crucial area of the face, for me at least. It can either make or break your entire make up look. This Maybelline Eye Studio Crayon Brow in Brown made it possible for me to have solid yet natural-looking eyebrows with the bonus of a well-defined arch.

My peepers shined bright like diamonds with Maybelline Eye Studio’s Lumineyes in Gray. First, I applied the lightest shade of the palette all over my lids. Then, I used the darkest shade of the palette to exaggerate my crease. Easy peasy, right?
I used Jordana’s Eye Fixation in Silver to enhance the silver eyeshadow that I applied previously. The good thing about this product is that you can easily control the direction due to its easy-to-grip packaging.
One more technique to boost up one’s eyes is to overlap the black eyeshadow that I applied previously with a sharp liquid eyeliner. This way, you can create a more distinct double lid. Maybelline Eye Studio Hypersharp Ultra-Fine Liner does the job perfectly for this kind of technique because of its super sharp tip.
The finishing touch to my already bold eye makeup is a coat of Maybelline Volum’ Express Hypercurl Mascara. Because this mascara’s objective is to curl your lashes, using an eyelash curler is no longer necessary.
Photo shoots and cameras have the tendency to make faces appear quite flat. I cleanly contoured the sides of my nose and brushed on Benefit’s Dallas Bronzer to the depths of my chubby cheeks.
Yep, I used an eye pencil as my lipstick. I guess I was inspired by the name, Benefit’s Bad Gal and so I went for bizarre black lips and outlined it with Jordana’s Eye Fixation in Silver which I used earlier. Badass, don’t you think?
