Bag Care 101

My bags are my babies. And I believe that most women share the same sentiment with me. Growing up with a family comprised of predominantly women; my three sisters and I witnessed our mother’s desire for designer bags. Whenever we would travel, she would always stop by and gaze at the extravagant window displays of Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Prada and the like, as if she was a little girl staring at a candy store. One faithful day, she finally had the guts to walk into Hermes’ swanky glass door. That was also the day when she walked out carrying a bright orange paper bag and an even brighter beam on her face!
And that, my friends, is the tale of my mother’s first Birkin bag. The rest, as they say, is history.

Safe to say, the women of today are more disposed to binging a year’s worth of savings on gorgeous designer gear than on some other piece of clothing. So it’s just right for us to learn how to take good care of these investments. After all, it was bought using our hard-earned money made possible by enduring graveyard shifts, overtime work and hustling on holidays! For today’s agenda, I am sharing with you

I don’t know about you, but for myself, I sometimes judge a book by its cover. I admit- I guiltily judge people I encounter based on their physical appearances, more particularly through their clothes, shoes, nails and even their teeth! I deem that these distinctive features can say so much about a person’s character, more so about their hygiene.

Being a fashion blogger, shooting my Outfit of the Day photos under the sun is inevitable. If you cannot already tell from my blog’s title; Strutting on Sunshine, I am a woman who loves the sun’s warm kisses on her skin. Timely as it is summer now, it is safe to say that I do love to have my daily dose of fun under the sun! Notwithstanding that natural lighting is the best source of glow there is, it also comes with a price.

My skin has become sunburnt, dark spots have appeared and overall, my complexion has gotten uneven.

White Skin is In

Being a full Filipino, I was born with naturally brown skin. Growing up, I never really saw this as a big deal because I significantly enjoyed the great outdoors. Running around our ancestral home’s backyard, morning swims with my siblings and basically playing all day under the sun are just some of the fondest childhood memories that I can recall. But now that I’ve grown up and I’ve become more conscious of my personal physique, I am always on the lookout for products that can improve my look, more so enhance my complexion.

Kojie-San-Products

Perhaps like most of you, I have also tried some skin whitening schemes, from the conventional slathering of lotions day and night, to the more complex bleaching services done by the dermatologist. For what it’s worth, I even tried taking glutathione pills but alas, I don’t think it made a difference. Or maybe, I was just too lazy to continue on with my progress. I have concluded that whitening wasn’t for me and as cliché as it may sound;

I learned to love the skin that I was in anyway.
But during one spontaneous grocery trip, as I was staring at the shelves and shelves of assorted soaps, Kojie San Lightening Soap caught my eye. It’s safe to say that I’ve been a silent enthusiast since then. Now, I can’t be more excited to restart my whitening journey with their new products!
